New virtual wall lighthouses (Roomba 560 only) allow Roomba to completely vacuum one room before moving on to the next. They can create invisible barriers to contain Roomba within particular area

Safe with Pets and Children
Roomba is designed from the outset to be safe with pets and children. If the Roomba is picked up, or knocked over the Roomba will stop instantly. With the new Light touch navigation even if it bumps up against your pet or children no harm with be caused.
Pets react differently to Roomba, some watch with great interest, some get out of its way and some want to play with a new friend! Most pets get used to having Roomba around. People with pets will find that the Roomba is superb at picking up pet debris, hair and cat litter. These are no problem to Roomba and are cleaned up automatically.
Onboard Scheduling
The Roomba 560 has onboard scheduling that allows you to pre program up to 7 cleaning cycles. Set the Roomba to clean at times convenient to you, whether you are in or out and let Roomba do all the work.
Modular Design, Easy to Maintain and Use
Roomba has a new voice audio demonstration that talks you though how to set up your Roomba and when it requires maintenance.
The new modular design provides simpler maintenance and gives an upgrade capability.
Drop Sensors
All Roomba models have drop sensors that detect stairs and drops. The navigation system will automatically re direct Roomba away from the drop.
Automatically Recharges
When Roomba (530 and 560) has finished cleaning it will automatically find its way home to its docking station and plug itself in to be ready for its next cleaning schedule.
Won't Get Stuck
In many rooms there are things that could get caught in a cleaner. Cords, tassels, rugs and many more. Roomba has anti tangle technology. If the brushes stall due to something becoming stuck the bushes will briefly reverse to free the tangled item and then continue to let Roomba get on with the cleaning.
